Jody's formative acting training was under June Whitaker, alumna of The Neighbourhood Playhouse in NY and long-time student of Sanford Meisner himself. While working full-time as an actress, Jody then went on to study with some of the most esteemed and in-demand coaches in Los Angeles and Canada including Kate Twa, (Founder, Railtown Actor’s Studio) and Larry Moss – direct pupil of both Sanford Meisner and Stella Adler (who herself was a direct pupil of Konstantin Stanislavski and co-founder of The Group Theatre with Lee Strasburg). Larry Moss’s other students include Helen Hunt, Hilary Swank, Leonardo diCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Jim Carrey and Jennifer Garner, to name a few.

Jody is also an award-winning screenwriter and filmmaker (director/producer), guest speaker, industry mentor, NETFLIX Banff Diversity of Voices Fellow, Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting Semi-finalist and President of Little Wolf Productions Inc, a digital content communications company that creates intentional, uplifting non-fiction programming for non-profits and academic partners, with an eye to safeguarding and advocating for narrative sovereignty of marginalized communities.

Jody believes the greatest gift an artist has at their disposal is the desire to create. She is honored to share space and process with likeminded creatives as well as dedicated connoisseurs interested in developing a true appreciation of film and media arts.
