Description: This course in Modern Standard Chinese (Mandarin) is designed for heritage students (i.e. those who have some prior background in speaking any variety of Chinese, usually in a home or family context, but little experience with writing), and focuses on developing Chinese literacy skills, competence in using different oral and written registers, and familiarity with Chinese discourses and social practices.
